On the way to the top of El Boquerón we stopped for lunch & tried some plantain crusted Pupusas | Pupusas -local Salvadoran tortillas, usually made of corn, stuffed with beans & cheese or chicken or loroco (green herb) | |||
Eating Pupusas at very shady locations just check out the lady peering around the corner :) |

As the city is at the foot of the volcano any activity would cause major devastationBoquerón Crater is part of a stratovolcano that last errupted in 1917
the wide 'hump' is Boquerón & the high peak is El Picacho
